Face- to- Face Interaction

Module 4

Summary- The cornerstone of cooperative learning is working with others in a systematic and disciplined way that gives all learners reason to work together. Face- to- face interaction is defined as members of the assigned group being in a space together at the same time to complete the assigned task. Working together face- to- face facilitates learning. Two types of learning take place while in cooperative groups, academic and personal. Working with each other, learners are able to share their understanding to promote and confirm their own knowledge. Learners can problem solve using all group members input and ideas and leverage their own and others background knowledge to connect to new learning. Face- to- face interaction also gives learners a place to clarify misunderstandings and delve deeper into explanations based on individual and/or group understandings.
